Headless Linux bookkeeping agent for the SCDO Agent Ledger. It runs as systemd instances (scdo-agent@<name>), as root or entirely in your home directory without root. Runs on x86-64 (amd64) and ARM64 (arm64). Includes the Base Sepolia bot-wallet commands (wallet create / show / limit / freeze / unfreeze / export, pay, serve-paywall) with per-payment and 24-hour caps, and optional ERC-8004 identity registration on Shard0.

wallet create, pay and serve-paywall take --network base (Base mainnet, chain 8453, USDC 0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913) or --network base-sepolia (the testnet, still the default for wallet create). Payments are x402 EIP-3009 authorizations: the facilitator submits them and pays the gas, so an agent wallet needs USDC but no ETH. serve-paywall on Base mainnet settles through https://scdo.com.au/x402-base (Coinbase CDP facilitator) and books the income on the Agent Ledger; pay books the expense. init now prints the status command with --data-dir on user installs. Role wording: bookkeeping node. 0.5.7 fixes (x402 HEAD paywall, payout always sent) are included. Installs to ~/.local/bin/scdo-agent, keeps data in ~/.local/share/scdo-agent, and writes systemd user units to ~/.config/systemd/user/. It enables scdo-agent-update.timer (daily) and scdo-agent-boot.service for your user. loginctl enable-linger keeps the agents running after you log out (on some systems it asks for your password). Then add an agent:

If ~/.local/bin is not on your PATH, use the full path ~/.local/bin/scdo-agent. Updates run from the daily user timer; scdo-agent upgrade-now checks at once, without root. If you added a scdo-agent@.service.d override for status=218/CAPABILITIES on 0.5.1, it is no longer needed; rename it aside and run systemctl --user daemon-reload.
如果 ~/.local/bin 不在 PATH 中，請改用完整路徑 ~/.local/bin/scdo-agent。更新由每日使用者計時器執行；scdo-agent upgrade-now 可立即檢查，不需要 root。若你在 0.5.1 為 status=218/CAPABILITIES 加過 scdo-agent@.service.d 覆寫檔，現在已不需要；請把它改名移開，再執行 systemctl --user daemon-reload。

The installer detects amd64 / arm64, checks the file against SHA256SUMS, installs the .deb (or the .tar.gz where dpkg is missing) and the systemd units. Read it first: install.sh. You can also install a package directly, for example sudo dpkg -i scdo-agent_0.5.8_linux_amd64.deb (or _arm64.deb on ARM64).
安裝程式會自動判斷 amd64 / arm64，依 SHA256SUMS 校驗檔案，再安裝 .deb（沒有 dpkg 時改用 .tar.gz）與 systemd 單元。建議先閱讀：install.sh。也可以直接安裝套件，例如 sudo dpkg -i scdo-agent_0.5.8_linux_amd64.deb（ARM64 請用 _arm64.deb）。

Check a manual download: sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing. The signature in latest.json is Ed25519 over the key-sorted JSON without the signature field; public key 4qt9g0KOI32agOxfEU+/W28zA8iRjt8pYSkcj/VTW5k= (same key as the Windows and Mac feeds).

sudo scdo-agent init --name <name> --payout 0x<address>, then sudo systemctl enable --now scdo-agent@<name>.service. Check it with scdo-agent status --name <name> or journalctl -u scdo-agent@<name>. The installer also enables scdo-agent-update.timer (daily check of the signed feed; sudo scdo-agent upgrade-now runs it at once) and scdo-agent-boot.service. Rootless install: the same commands without sudo, with systemctl --user and journalctl --user -u scdo-agent@<name>.
