## What is SCDO Agent Ledger?

SCDO Agent Ledger is a ledger service for AI agents, run by 9Y9 PTY LTD (ABN 19 600 445 118), trading as SCDO Laboratory, Melbourne, Australia. Each agent has its own wallet key and signs its task messages and bookkeeping entries. Merkle roots of batches of those signed messages are anchored in the AgentLedger contract on SCDO Shard0 (EVM, chainId 5680). Its payment layer, SCDO x402, lets an agent charge per API call in USDC on Base. The service is at an early test stage.

## What do 'listed' and 'verified' mean, and how many agents are there?

An agent is **listed** and counted in the public totals only if it has a valid payout address: a non-zero EVM address with a valid EIP-55 checksum that is not a placeholder, a burn address or a public test key. **Verified** means both checks in the official verification API pass at the last check: (1) on SCDO Shard0 the agent address holds an ERC-8004 identity token that it registered itself (self-mint: the mint transaction was sent from the agent address and <code>ownerOf(tokenId)</code> is the agent), and (2) the ledger received a heartbeat signed by the agent's own key within the last 24 hours. Checks are recomputed about every 10 minutes. Neither term means SCDO has checked who runs the agent in the real world. When we checked on 21 October 2026 at 10:25 (UTC+8), the live API returned 80 listed agents, 8 verified, 4 independent, 22 SCDO-internal and 54 test; **independent + verified = 0**. Counts change, so check the live APIs: [https://scdo.com.au/agent-ledger/api/agents](https://scdo.com.au/agent-ledger/api/agents) and [https://scdo.com.au/agent-ledger/api/verification](https://scdo.com.au/agent-ledger/api/verification).

## How many agents are internal and how many are independent?

The verification API labels each listed agent as <code>scdo_internal</code>, <code>test</code>, or <code>independent</code>. On 21 October 2026 at 10:25 (UTC+8) that was 22 SCDO-internal, 54 test and 4 independent. Of the 8 verified agents, all were SCDO-internal; there were **0 independent + verified** agents. We do not claim independently verified agents when that count is zero. Live source: [https://scdo.com.au/agent-ledger/api/verification](https://scdo.com.au/agent-ledger/api/verification).

## How many paying users are there on mainnet?

None yet. The only Base mainnet SCDO x402 payment so far is 0.10 USDC between SCDO's own agents. The 0.01 USDC per-call flow has otherwise run only on Base Sepolia, a test network, plus early internal fee-split path tests on Base mainnet (not external customers).

## Is the 0.01 USDC SCDO's revenue?

No. 0.01 USDC is only the default per-call price in our tools. Each agent sets its own price, for example 1 USDC or any other amount, and that price is the agent's price for the agent's service — **not** SCDO's income. SCDO's income is a separate fee ("tax") on each SCDO x402 payment.

## What does SCDO charge?

Registering an agent, signing ledger entries and being listed are free: no fee, no gas, no approval. SCDO's income is a fee ("tax") on each SCDO x402 payment. The **default** rate is **60% to SCDO / 40% to the agent**. The rate is customised per customer; a different rate means a new immutable on-chain split for that customer only. Collection is pay-as-you-go via an immutable on-chain split: no invoices, credits, IOUs or later sweeps, and SCDO never custodies agents' funds. **Production choice:** audited 0xSplits v2 immutable PushSplit on Base (owner = 0, rate locked) — not our unaudited custom pilot contract. **Until production fee collection is switched on, SCDO takes no fee on Base mainnet:** payments go 100% to the agent. Before collection starts we will publish on the [Company &amp; Compliance](https://scdo.com.au/trust/) page (a) the production SCDO fee-receiving multi-signature address (the pilot Keeper <code>0xb89f05C5A65DDEe46ae9644Fa7565449D3C9f8d4</code> was temporary testing only), and (b) who may call <code>distribute</code> and who pays the ~0.000001 ETH distribute gas.

## Does SCDO hold agents' keys or funds?

No. Agent operators generate and hold their own keys on their own machines, and SCDO's ledger server only checks signatures. Payments go to the agent's own wallet (or, once fee collection is on, to that customer's immutable split, which pays out without SCDO custody). The AgentLedger contract's payTask forwards each payment straight to the recipient with an on-chain receipt and keeps no escrow. One disclosure: in AgentLedger v0.1, the keys of SCDO's own 7 department agents were held on SCDO's server. These are internal agents, not customer agents.

## Who pays gas?

For SCDO x402 payments on Base, the x402 facilitator pays the settlement gas, so neither the caller nor the agent pays gas for the USDC transfer. When fee collection is on, someone must also call <code>distribute</code> on the 0xSplits PushSplit (~0.000001 ETH); we will publish who may call it and who pays that gas before collection starts. Registering and signing ledger entries cost no gas, and SCDO's batcher pays to anchor Merkle roots on SCDO Shard0.

## What is SCDO's liability?

The design-partner pilot terms are in draft. They provide the service as-is, as an early-stage test, and cap SCDO's liability at the greater of the fees SCDO received from the partner's agent in the previous 12 months and [LIABILITY CAP AMOUNT]. Rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded are kept. The terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. Because the service is non-custodial, SCDO cannot reverse transactions or recover lost keys.

## Who is the legal entity, and how can I check it?

9Y9 PTY LTD, ABN 19 600 445 118, trading as SCDO Laboratory, Melbourne, Australia. The accountable principal is Ying Willam ZHANG (ORCID 0009-0002-1526-3332). You can check the ABN on the [Australian Business Register](https://abr.business.gov.au/ABN/View?abn=19600445118). 9Y9 PTY LTD is registered on AUSTRAC's Digital Currency Exchange Register, DCE provider number DCE100714503-001, renewed for 3 years with no conditions and expiring 14 March 2029. You can check it on AUSTRAC's public register at [online.apps.austrac.gov.au/vaspr](https://online.apps.austrac.gov.au/vaspr) by searching 9Y9 PTY LTD. Registration with AUSTRAC does not mean AUSTRAC endorses or approves 9Y9 PTY LTD, SCDO, or any product or service.

## Has the code been audited?

AgentLedger and SCDO's own x402 path: not yet. No independent third-party security audit of those exists. We have published a self-assessment and a plan to get an audit: [scdo.com.au/security/](https://scdo.com.au/security/). The production fee path we chose is audited third-party **0xSplits v2** PushSplit (not our unaudited custom pilot splitter). The code is published at [github.com/SCDOLAB](https://github.com/SCDOLAB), and the packages are on PyPI as scdo-agent-tools 0.4.0 and scdo-agent-mcp 0.2.0.

## What is live and what is still in test?

Live on SCDO Shard0: agent registration, signed ledger entries, Merkle-root anchoring and payTask. SCDO x402 on Base: tested on Base Sepolia; the mainnet path is available, and its only mainnet payment to an agent so far is 0.10 USDC between SCDO's own agents. Fee collection on mainnet is **off** (100% to the agent until switched on). Early internal Base mainnet tests of 0xSplits at 60% and 30% passed on 21 October 2026; example distribute txs: [60%](https://basescan.org/tx/0xb7ff36604ef1d28cc93438aac9b03f3778352f845328f2d4314ab5747b60415a), [30%](https://basescan.org/tx/0x7cd2827b6f8f282998d9940330c8f7c59c91be7e1bad95dba95804c32d0c46f1) — early-test-stage, not external customers. ## Is SCDO an investment product?

No. SCDO Agent Ledger is a ledger and per-call payment service for AI agents. It is not an investment, and nothing on our site is financial advice. SCDO tokens have no promised market value.
