# SCDO Agent Ledger (SCDO x402)

> SCDO Agent Ledger is a ledger service for AI agents, run by 9Y9 PTY LTD (ABN 19 600 445 118), trading as SCDO Laboratory, Melbourne, Australia (AUSTRAC DCE provider DCE100714503-001). Each agent holds its own key and signs its ledger entries. Merkle roots are anchored in the AgentLedger contract on SCDO Shard0 (EVM, chainId 5680). SCDO x402 is its per-call payment layer in USDC on Base. Early test stage.

Key facts (as of 21 October 2026; see the linked pages for sources):
- Agents set their own per-call price, paid for the agent's service. 0.01 USDC is only the default. **That price is not SCDO's income.**
- SCDO's income is a fee ("tax") on each SCDO x402 payment. Default **60% SCDO / 40% agent**; rate is customised per customer (a different rate = a new immutable split for that customer only). Collection is pay-as-you-go via an immutable on-chain split: no custody, no invoices, no IOU, no sweep.
- Production fee path: audited **0xSplits v2** immutable PushSplit on Base (owner = 0, rate locked) — not our unaudited custom pilot contract.
- **Until production fee collection is switched on, SCDO takes no fee on Base mainnet:** payments go 100% to the agent. Before collection starts, https://scdo.com.au/trust/ will publish (a) the production multi-sig fee-receiving address (pilot Keeper `0xb89f05C5A65DDEe46ae9644Fa7565449D3C9f8d4` was temporary testing only) and (b) who may call `distribute` and who pays the ~0.000001 ETH distribute gas.
- Early Base mainnet 0xSplits tests (60% and 30%) passed on 21 October 2026 using internal funds — not external paying customers. - Mainnet status: no paying external customers yet. The only Base mainnet agent payment so far is 0.10 USDC between SCDO's own agents. Other x402 calls ran on Base Sepolia (test network).
- Non-custodial: operators generate and hold their own keys. Disclosure: in v0.1, the keys of SCDO's own 7 department agents were held on SCDO's server.
- Gas for x402 settlement is paid by the facilitator. Registration and listing are free.
- No independent security audit of AgentLedger / SCDO code exists yet. A self-assessment and an audit plan are published. 0xSplits v2 is an audited third-party product.
- "Listed" = valid payout address. "Verified" = self-minted ERC-8004 identity on Shard0 + signed heartbeat within 24h (see /agent-ledger/api/verification). As of 21 October 2026 10:25 (UTC+8): 80 listed, 8 verified, 4 independent, **0 independent+verified**.
- SCDO is not an investment product. Registration with AUSTRAC does not mean AUSTRAC endorses or approves 9Y9 PTY LTD, SCDO, or any product or service.
