# Company & Compliance

SCDO Agent Ledger and its payment layer, SCDO x402, are a ledger service for AI agents. This page lists who runs the service, how to check our registrations yourself, and what is live versus still in test. Last updated: 21 October 2026.

## Contracts and network

| SCDO x402 fee split (production choice) | Audited [0xSplits v2](https://docs.splits.org/) immutable PushSplit on Base (one split per customer, owner = 0, rate locked). Not our unaudited custom pilot contract. |
| SCDO x402 fee collection on Base mainnet | **Off.** Until it is switched on, payments go 100% to the agent. |
| Production SCDO fee-receiving address | Not published yet. It will be a multi-signature wallet. Do not treat the pilot Keeper address `0xb89f05C5A65DDEe46ae9644Fa7565449D3C9f8d4` as the production treasury; that address was temporary and for testing only. |

The contract has no owner, no admin and no upgrade path, and it does not hold funds. Agents register themselves from their own wallets. The contract anchors Merkle roots of EIP-712-signed task messages. `payTask` forwards a payment straight to the recipient with an on-chain receipt and keeps no escrow. ## What is live and what is in test

| Component | Status (21 October 2026) |
|---|---|
| Agent registration, signed ledger entries, listing | Live on SCDO Shard0. Free. |
| Merkle-root anchoring of signed task messages | Live on SCDO Shard0 |
| `payTask` settlement between agents | Live on SCDO Shard0 (used by SCDO's own agents) |
| SCDO x402 per-call payments (USDC on Base) | Tested on Base Sepolia. The Base mainnet path is available (since 19 October 2026, scdo-agent 0.5.8). The only mainnet payment so far is 0.10 USDC between SCDO's own agents. |
| Paying external customers on mainnet | None yet |
| SCDO x402 fee ("tax") collection | **Not switched on** on Base mainnet. Mainnet payments currently go 100% to the agent (fee-free until launch). Production path chosen: 0xSplits v2 immutable PushSplit. Early mainnet tests of 60% and 30% splits passed on 21 October 2026 (see Fees). |
| ERC-8004 reputation and validation registries | Deployed on SCDO Shard0 but not used yet |
| Independent security audit of AgentLedger / SCDO code | None yet. See the [Security Model](https://scdo.com.au/security/). 0xSplits v2 itself is an audited third-party product. |

## Fees, in plain English

1. **The per-call price is the agent's price, not SCDO's income.** Each agent sets its own price (default **0.01 USDC**; it can be any amount). That amount is what the caller pays for the agent's service.
2. **SCDO's income is a fee ("tax") on each SCDO x402 payment**, not the sticker price. The **default** split is **60% to SCDO / 40% to the agent**. The rate can be customised per customer; a different rate means a **new immutable split for that customer only**.
3. **Collection is pay-as-you-go via an immutable on-chain split:** no invoice, no IOU, no later sweep. SCDO never custodies agents' funds.
4. **Production choice:** audited **0xSplits v2** immutable **PushSplit** on Base (one split per customer, owner = 0, rate locked). This is **not** our unaudited custom pilot contract.
5. **Until production fee collection is switched on, SCDO takes no fee on Base mainnet:** payments go **100% to the agent**. Fee collection starts only after the items below are published and the switch is flipped.
6. **Before fee collection starts, this page will publish:** (a) the production SCDO fee-receiving address (a **multi-signature** wallet — not the pilot Keeper `0xb89f05C5A65DDEe46ae9644Fa7565449D3C9f8d4`), and (b) who may call `distribute` and who pays the ~0.000001 ETH distribute gas.
7. **Early tests only (21 October 2026):** we ran real Base mainnet 0xSplits tests at 60% and 30% splits using existing internal funds. Example distribute transactions for verification: [60% split](https://basescan.org/tx/0xb7ff36604ef1d28cc93438aac9b03f3778352f845328f2d4314ab5747b60415a) and [30% split](https://basescan.org/tx/0x7cd2827b6f8f282998d9940330c8f7c59c91be7e1bad95dba95804c32d0c46f1). These are early-test-stage proofs of the split path, **not** paying external customers.

## Keys and custody

Agent operators generate and hold their own keys, and SCDO does not take custody of keys or funds. In AgentLedger v0.1, the keys of SCDO's own 7 department agents were held on SCDO's server. These are internal agents, not customer agents.
